The first [ and totally threadbare ] Provo line of defence against Mairia Cahill was - *But MARTY MORRIS, Seamus FINUCANE and Padraig WILSON were not found Guilty*.
So ironic to have then now rely on British Justice when they spent so long murdering those who provided that same justice.
But Gerry's own father, Gerry Senior was also never convicted, by any British Court of the child-abuse which Gerry admitted in public. Did that stop Gerry from telling the truth ? Did that non-conviction cast the slightest doubt on the brutal truth of what Gerry Junior admitted ?
Or did Gerry Junior disbelieve his own niece, Aine Adams, about her child-abuse by Gerry's brother, Liam, until a British Court in Belfast found Liam Guilty ?

Why did Provo IRA go so far, and for so long, to protect their Belfast rape suspect ?

How does Gaza in 2014 compare to Dublin City in the Easter Week 1916 Rising - or to Normandy after D-Day 1944 ?

10 ways in which RTE reveals its totally slanted attitude regarding the Middle East
1. The vast amount of time given to Gaza - dominating bulletin after bulletin.
2. The priority given to Gaza as a lead story
3. Totally ignoring both Syria and ISIS - even Christians being crucified by ISIS
4. The selection of contributors [ like the notorious Norwegian Maoist Dr Mads Gilbert ]
5. Uncritically repeating everything, both words and pictures, from Gaza - as if it were not a totally Hamas-controlled zone, where Hamas controls media, access and hospitals
6. The attitude of RTE staff [ also evident in body-language and tone, as well as in what they say ]
7. Reporting as fact [ and without any reference to Hamas as source or censor ] of every claim from Gaza, but distancing RTE from Israel [ eg *Israel *SAID* ]
8. Never correcting outrageous lies - such as *Gaza has 2 M people* when CIA current estimate is 1.8 M, or *Gaza is the most densely populated area on earth* - total and manifest nonsense since its +12,000 people per Square Mile is only marginally above the current very low Dublin City Density
9. Never featuring critics of Hamas but regularly giving significant exposure to any critics of Israel, no matter how fringe or tendentious they are [ like Ilan Pappe ]

This AM at 08.32, the Irish state-owned national *Public Service* broadcaster, RTE Radio 1 in *Morning Ireland* told us that over 1,000 palestinians *WERE* killed but that Israel *SAID* 40 soldiers were killed.
And not a word about how many of the palestinians were in fact terrorists in either Pal Islamic Jihad or Hamas

Who is this obscure Victoria White - the green Hamas-loving propagandist ?
VICTORIA WHITE, 52, a Dublin Protestant woman, seems to be a very minor and obscure fiction writer [ with only one work, a collection of short stories, published 24 years ago, back in 1990 ], and 20 years later, had her only non-fiction book published, on motherhood.
She is also since 1988 the wife of the Green Party Leader and former Irish Cabinet Minister, Eamon Ryan, who lost his Dail seat in 2011 and who also failed to take any of the 3 Dublin MEP seats this year. He was in the Cabinet which presided over the disastrous Housing Bubble, and then responded to the crash by taking full state responsibility for private [ banking ] borrowing, which as crippled the Irish Economy as well as gravely damaged society.
She portrays herself as a green activist and also as some form of feminist. Did she ever ask how women are treated in Gaza by Hamas ?
White [ for some obscure , if any, reason ] happens to have a weekly column in a daily paper, the Examiner and yesterday - with a prime slot, beside the Page 12 Editorial and taking up the rest [ 75% ] of the top half of that page - she produced a uniquely slanted, vicious and monumentally un-informed, indeed distorted attack on Israel, in which she declared that -
*Israel is not their "homeland". Europe is*.
Hamas or Al-Qaida could not do any worse.
Her grasp of history is laughable - she refers to Russian ethnic cleansing, and then adds - *The idea of the nation-state based on ethnicity was born*. That will certainly be news to every single serious historian on the planet - but then Whites' grasp of History is clearly as flaky as her grasp of the Middle East.
She totally ignores the context behind the flight of palestinians [and in fact not her inflated *800,000 but 711,000 ] in 1947-48, which was the invasion at birth of the newly-proclaimed, UN-mandated State of Israel, by 7 surrounding regular Arab Armies, plus an irregular pan-arab force which they had recruited. An invasion, decided by un-elected Arab tyrants, and explicitly designed to exterminate the new State, not defend local Arabs.
She similarly distorts the June 1967 war, totally ignoring the context which was a renewed Arab attempt to again destroy Israel.
Can such gross distortion be merely monumental ignorance ? Or could it reveal a deeply biased and hostile attitude - against one, but only one, nation and one nation-state on earth ?

Instead she trots out tired old *4 Green Fields* nonsense, a mantra she also spews out regarding the Middle East, tired but still toxic, and the kind of guff which still fuels both RIRA/CIRA ideology and violence, as well as the Hamas and other rejectionist gangs in the Arab world. How odd that a Dublin Protestant now aged 52, who therefore lived thru the long bloody decades from 1970 when Provo IRA and similar gangs waged their long campaign of tribal terror, due to defining Nationality in terms only of Land, not People and their Identity, Will and Rights, should have learnt or understood nothing. And odder that she cannot [or maybe simply will not ] see Israel except via such toxic and malign blinkers.

Gaza, facts, and Urban Combat
In April 1916 Dublin City had over 400,000 people when Pearse, Connolly and 5 others in the IRB secret Mil Cte , choose to launch their Easter Rising. They rightly surrendered after 6 days of intense urban fighting, in order to avoid further carnage - by then the 254 civilian dead [ who were most of those killed ] had averaged 42 daily, or 10.5 per 100,000 daily. They surrendered un-conditionally.
Gaza has 4.5 times as many people. The UN now estimates that in 13 days of urban fighting, 508 have been killed, 72% of them civilian [ as in 1916 in Dublin, most of the dead are civilian ]. That is a civilian rate per 100,000 daily of 1.5 - so 1916 in Dublin was SEVEN times worse for civilians.
Since gunpowder was invented, no military commander or force has ever been able to avoid all civilian casualties in intense urban fighting. Not one. Not in Normandy in 1944. Not in Gaza in 2014. .Not in 1916 in Dublin. So to now demonize the Israelis, when 1916 in Dublin was SEVEN times worse, is not only totally unfounded, but sheer bias.
When Egypt proposed an immediate and un-conditional Ceasefire in Gaza, Israel complied - at once and in full. And un-conditionally. What did Hamas do ? They fired another 47 Rockets at civilians, at towns within Israel, in the following 6 hours, thus compelling Israel to resume operations to end that firing by Hamas.
Hamas now should follow the 1916 Irish example, and end at once further death, injury and destruction for their own people, by an immediate and un-conditional Ceasefire.

Gaza Concrete
Gaza is small. Only 140 Square Miles. The tunnels already discovered by IDF are large, many and used a lot of concrete. So why did UNWRA never spot any tunnel-digging by Hamas - with all that *peaceful* imported concrete which we were assured was to build schools and homes ? Not Tunnels to infiltrate Jihadist gangs into Israel.

Victims forgotten about in peace deals: Ann Travers, the sister of Mary Travers who was murdered by the IRA in 1984, has said she feels her family and others like them have been forgotten about over deals made with republicans in order to broker peace.
