In today's 1 PM TV1 News, RTE, the state-owned national Public Service Broadcasting Service, downplayed this extremely serious charge that Martin McGuinness met his fellow Provo IRA gangster, KEVIN WALSH, the murderer of an Irish Detective, Jerry McCabe, while Walsh was in hiding. That is sinister news manipulation. The regional newspaper which carried the McCabe Family Statement, the Limerick Leader, was not even contacted nor, it seems, were the McCabe Family whose Statement had revealed this crucial news.
My understanding is that the couple who had hidden Walsh on their isolated farm in County Cavan, signed a Statement, when arrested with him in March, 1998, that BOTH McGuinness and Gerry Adams had TWICE met the murderer Walsh while he was in hiding after his murder of Jerry McCabe - Jerry's police car was riddled with 14 rounds automatic fire from a Kalashnikov rifle.. fire was opened with no warning. Jerry and his colleague, Ben O'Sullivan, who was seriously injured by that PIRA gang, were escorting a Post Office van and had no chance to return fire.
